Driver pay worked out from the trips
Every trip carries the amount due to the driver. 4Cargo adds those amounts up over the month's finished trips, adds bonuses, takes off fines, trip cash and payouts, and shows the balance that carries over to the next month.
How pay is worked out
The pay table has one row per driver per month.
- Freight and actual pay, taken automatically from the driver's finished trips dated in that month
- Bonuses and fines
- Cash given out for trips and pay paid out
- Balance: pay and bonuses minus trip cash, fines and payouts
- The balance carries over to the next month
A saved month stays as it was
Until a month is saved, pay is calculated from the current trips. Once it is saved, its figures are frozen: if someone later edits an old trip, the pay already worked out does not move.
That way the accountant can be sure the pay handed out matches the calculation.
Trips, pay and papers on the driver's card
The driver's card shows their trips and pay, as well as driving licence, Code 95 and ID document expiry dates and holidays with a day count.
Pay is seen only by those who need it
The administrator can open the pay section to, say, only the accountant and management. Other staff do not see it.

Questions and answers
Where does the driver's pay come from?
From the trips: each trip has a "driver pay" field. Monthly pay adds up all of that driver's finished trips dated in the month.
Can I add a bonus or a fine?
Yes. Bonuses, fines, trip cash and pay paid out are entered in the pay table, and the balance is recalculated at once.
Does 4Cargo calculate payroll taxes?
No. 4Cargo tracks what a driver has earned from trips and what has been paid. Taxes and payroll returns are prepared by your accountant in their software.
